3 1. Power On 2. POST ◦ Checks RAM, keyboard & drives 3. BIOS (ROM) searches for OS to load ◦ Location of OS is usually C: 4. OS loaded in RAM ◦ Drivers loaded 5. GUI loaded & displayed

9  What programs are pinned on your computer?  Search for Word, Excel, or PowerPoint ◦ When the list of programs displays, right-click and select Pin to Start Menu  Search for Paint ◦ Pin it to the Start Menu ◦ Then, find it in the Pinned Area, right-click on it & unpin it
