14 AS A PUBLIC OFFICIAL YOU SHOULD BEHAVE ETHICALLY BECAUSE: The public trusts that you will act in the public interest, not your personal one. Is there a lot of trust today? You have a virtual monopoly over the infrastructure that supports the public’s well being Why else are you in the public sector if not to do the right thing? It’s certainly not for the money.
