10  Do not use as a distraction  Avoid playing with the object while speaking  Do not pass the object around  Keep focus with audience  Ask yourself:  Is it relevant?  When will I factor the aid into my speech?  Is it large enough for everyone to see?

11  Audience-centered speeches  Pick a partner  Together you will pick an audience and object  Create a short speech about any topic. How will you factor in your aid? How will you make the speech audience-centered?  Before presentations: pair with another set. You will offer tips as we move into speech 1.
