1 SPORTS AMBASSADORS OLYMPIC TOUR The Olympic Village

2 The History The first time London held the Olympics was in 1908. At this time there were only 22 nations who took part. Great Britain took 56 Gold medals 51 Silver medals and 39 Bronze. The second time London held the Olympics was in 1948. This time there were 59 countries. England took 3 Gold medals, 14 Silver Medals and 6 Bronze. This time the Olympics are coming to London in 2012. There is going to be 105 countries taking part. This is a big difference between the years.

3 The Building Site The Olympic Part looks nothing like the finished Park, it looks more like a Building/Construction site. ! Far from finished!!!

4 Tour Around The Park This is the Aquatics centre for the Swimming, Diving and Synchronised swimming. This is when it’s finished.

5 Continued................... This is the basketball area. It’s finished on the outside. Not sure on the inside though. This is the Velodrome which is going to be used for the cycling.

6 Continued........ This is the Olympic Stadium. This has a debate already of who is going to get it after the games. West Ham or Tottenham. This sculpture is in the centre of the park and is going to be nearly as tall as the London Eye.

7 The Money In 1908 it cost £20,000. In 1948 it cost £750000. Now in 2012 it is costing 3.1 billion, but the government are providing 6 billion for other cost like the Athletes village e.t.c.
