2 Muse O Verb or noun. O Muse: processing/thinking about something in silence O “Sing in me muse and through me tell the story….” O Ex: Muse on the thought of death.

3 Harried O Adj. or verb O Harried: annoyed, harassed, or tormented. /annoying someone with something repeatedly O “Tell the story of that man, the wanderer harried for years on end”. O Ex: Viciously swatting my hands down signaling my hatred for harrying.

4 Briskly O Adv. O Briskly: traveling quickly (with great speed) O “We climbed, then, briskly to the cave.” O Ex: Briskly across the length of the field we dashed, following the arching path of the ball.

5 Appalled O Adj. O Appalled: filled with dismay; horrified O “We cried aloud, lifting our hands to Zeus, powerless, looking on at this, appalled.” O Ex:

6 Ponderous O Adj. O Ponderous: bulky, heavy in a clumsy way O “If I killed him we perished there as well, for we could never move his ponderous doorway slab aside.” O Ex:

7 Profusion O N. O Great amount, large quantity. O “I held this in the fire’s heart and turned it, toughening it, then hid it, well back in the cavern, under one of the dung piles in profusion there.” O Ex: The profusion of money bill gates possesses, has made him famous.

8 Ambrosia O N. O Ambrosia: The food of the gods (Greek mythology) or something very good tasting/smelling O “The taste of the ambrosia was very uncommon and strange.” O Ex: The ambrosia made me sick after eating it.

9 Meditation O Continued or extended thought; reflection or think a long time in a religious way. O The monk’s long meditation made him understand the meaning of life. O The long meditation helped Bob's mind to reach inner peace

10 Linger O V. O Linger: stay in a place longer than necessary, typically because of a reluctance to leave. O “You never linger so, but graze before them all, and go afar to crop sweet grass.” O Ex: After pickpocketing the florins from people, Ezio lingered in the area until someone noticed.

11 Adversary O N. O Adversary: one’s opponent in a contest, conflicted or dispute. O “Far put, as far off shore as shouted words would carry, I sent a few back to the adversary.” O Ex: If I truly were Sheldon Cooper (which I kind of am),as adversary of mine in such fantasy activities such as Dungeons and Dragons, 3-D chess, and Halo would be Will Wheaton.
