This event marks groundbreaking work with a systemic approach to the development and improvement of career and technical high school curriculum. By providing the foundation for strong partnerships between education and industry, our goal is to support program improvement, curricular and instructional change, and alignment to local industry needs. Over the course of several years we’ll be working on Automotive Technology, Engineering, Architecture/Drafting, Construction Trades, Millwright Cabinet Making and Welding programs offered across the region. Who does CEANCI benefit? We support career and technical education programs that serve high school students in fifteen high schools. CEANCI also supports CTE instructors and collaborates with business and higher learning to provide services to the ongoing improvement of student achievement. Our first curriculum improvement strategy is to open lines of communication utilizing a business round table format. The curriculum-focused discussion provides high school teachers a platform to listen, learn and align to industry. I’ve attached some quick answers to common questions about the parameters of a BRT.
