Profile Since its establishment in 1873, Taisei Corporation has undertaken many notable projects in Japan and overseas. Taisei is the oldest of the 5 Japanese so called super general contractors Taisei Corporation is responding with advanced technologies through research and development With a capital position among the strongest in the industry, They are redoubling efforts to produce world-class, leading-edge technologies The Revenue for the company comes to 213,195,000 USD with total assets of 3,650,187,000 USD. Currently they have 7,945 employees working for them.

Geographic Operations Taisei has domestic offices in twelve Japanese cities, and 14 overseas offices including Seoul, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Philippines, Myanmar, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, India, Turkey, Abu Dhabi, Frankfurt, U.S., Vietnam, and Peru.

Type of Construction Projects Taisei has successfully constructed many civil and architectural projects including skyscrapers, dams, bridges, tunnels, subways as well as residential housing both in Japan and overseas Taisei is also well known for its disaster resistant general public housing brand Palcon

Project of Particular Interest 1965 - Mt. Fuji Weather Station, one of Japan’s main meteorological observing stations. It was constructed under harsh weather conditions at the highest altitude in Japan. 1988 - Seikan Tunnel is Japan's longest railway tunnel (54km) connecting Hakodate to Aomori by land. It took over 20 years to complete. 2001 - Sapporo Dome is a large dome constructed for the 2002 World Cup. With its hovering sliding pitch stage, the dome can host indoor football and baseball games. 2009 - Djibouti Kempinski Hotel, a high-class five-star hotel was designed and constructed in just nine months. 2012 - JP Tower is a seismic isolated building that preserves part of the old Tokyo Station Central Post Office on a block that faces Tokyo Station Plaza
