3 -2D must have height and length. -2D shapes have a area but no depth. -Some examples of 2D shapes are a circle, semicircle, triangle, square, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon.

4 -3D shapes are solids. -3D shapes must have length, height and depth -Some examples of 3D shapes are spheres, prisms, cube, cylinder, pyramid, cone.

5 Organic shapes are shapes with a natural look and a flowing and curving appearance. Examples of organic shapes include the shapes of leaves, plants, and animals. Artists use organic shapes and geometric shapes in different ways. When trying to create a piece that looks natural, flowing, soft, peaceful, organic shapes are generally used.

6 When trying to create a sense of chaos, anger, geometric shapes are used. Geometric shapes may also be used to create abstract interpretations of things that would normally be depicted as organic shapes. Geometric shapes are unlike organic shapes. Most geometric shapes are manmade, though honeycombs and crystals are also considered to be geometric shapes but they are made in nature.
