4 Suggested Format Can use other format, but –Should be logical and clear Introduction Methods Results Conclusions and Recommendations

5 Project Introduction State the title of the project; introduce the group Introduce your client and describe their needs –Why did you choose the project? Present project goal/purpose –What did you initially agree to accomplish? Who or what literature motivates your work?

6 Project Methods State your most significant objectives - For each, briefly describe the resources used –i.e., data, software, and any outside assistance Describe your research/analysis process Illustrate with a couple overview diagrams –Workflow (Gant/PERT) –Object diagram –Date flow Watch your time; be brief

7 Project Results Describe findings or work products –What new information resulted? –What was previously unknown? Present your maps, graphs, tables, brochure etc. –Explain them and connect them to objectives Can also alternate between methods and results for each objective or project aspect

8 Project Conclusions and Recommendations Conclusions are generalizations about your work –Were you able to meet your clients needs? - –How do your findings fit in the big picture? Recommendations are suggestions for future work –What would you suggest to others for similar work? –What work should be done next?
