Charting: Edit patient Selecting “Edit patient” enables you to search or browse for existing patients in BOLD. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

Patient Chart Opening a patient chart/record changes the options in the tabbed menu bar. These options reflect the path that the patient takes through your program. The window headers are blue instead of orange. This is a visual indicator that you are in a patient chart. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

Navigating the Patient Chart Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ] then left to right as each section is completed. The patient chart follows the chronological experience of the patient. The tabbed menu bar enables you to easily move between the sections of the chart. For a new patient or new visit, BOLD automatically moves from top to bottom on each tab,

A BOLD Comparison: Then and Now

Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ] Now: The “Summary” page still provides an overview of the patient’s history in BOLD. You can add, edit and remove encounters from this page. Then: The “Patient Summary” page provided an at-a-glance view of the patient’s history in BOLD. Additional encounters could be added from this page. A BOLD Comparison: Patient Summary

Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ] Now: The “Demographic,” “Payor” and “History” tabs on the tabbed menu bar provide access to the same information and will allow BOLD to grow in the future to investigate these areas in more detail. Then: The “Patient Information” page provided general demographic information about the patient. Payor information and the patient’s surgical history could be accessed from this page. A BOLD Comparison: Patient Information

Now: The patient’s surgical history is found under the “History” tab. Some comorbidities have been migrated to a new “Health History” section. Then: The patient’s surgical history was accessible under “Patient Information.” A BOLD Comparison: Patient History Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]
