Asperger Syndrome (AS) Unlike the severe withdrawal from the rest of the world that is characteristic of autism, children with Asperger syndrome are isolated because of their poor social skills and narrow interests. 8 Copyright © 2009 ALLTech What limitations does the individual with Asperger Syndrome experience? How do these limitations affect the individual’s job/college performance? What specific job/educational tasks are problematic as a result of these limitations? What accommodations are available to reduce or eliminate these problems? Can the individual with Asperger Syndrome provide information on possible accommodation solutions? Once accommodations/technology are in place, would it be useful to meet with the individual to evaluate the effectiveness of the accommodations and to determine whether additional/different accommodations are needed?
