11 Conclusions Additive and nonparametric regression models – Flexible tools for modelling Non-parametric trends and seasonality simultaneously with correlated errors. Changes in seasonality throughout time. Nonparametric trends within each season. Methodological modifications are required including circular smoothers and correlated errors.
