5 LDAPS & SSL We are in the process of implementing SSL certificates on SAFARI Montage servers to ensure logins are secured with SSL (or https) Authentication requests from the SAFARI Montage server to district LDAP servers will attempt to connect via LDAPS only

6 LDAPS & SSL Each IU will receive an email with instructions about setting up their certs. When you receive this email, please contact Ben Carter. He will be available to walk you through the process.

7 SAFARI Montage : Phase 3 Testing This phase will focus on ensuring that school districts are properly configured for SAFARI Montage access. While not all school districts are registered on the SAFARI Montage portal, we will begin testing with all school districts.

8 Step 1 Step 1: Access the SAFARI Montage Server using a temp user name and password. Step 2: Perform SAFARI Montage Test: 1. The key contact from each district should complete the following test: –If not already done, download the latest version of the SAFARI Montage Media Player, recently enhanced to include additional features and improve Windows 7 support. The SAFARI Montage Media Player is required for all client PCS and laptops accessing SAFARI Montage servers. The SAFARI Montage Media Player ( SMMP) is available at http://www.safarimontage.com/support/smmp_pa/smmpdownlo ad_pa.aspx http://www.safarimontage.com/support/smmp_pa/smmpdownlo ad_pa.aspx

9 2. Login a. Type the URL of the appropriate server from the list above b. Select the entry in the School dropdown that matches your school district c. Enter Temp Username and Password d. Click the Log in button e. You will be presented with the SAFARI Montage dashboard

10 3.Test search functionality a. Select the Search – the second tab at the top of the page b. Click the Search button c. You will be presented with a list of search results

11 4.Test video playback a. Click the Play button next to any video title b. Video playback will begin 5.Logout a. Click log out *Please let us know when this has been completed and if any problems were encountered.
