2 Garibaldi’s are round a fat orange fish. They have yellow eyes and there beautiful orange color that almost glows in the water. They are considered coral reef fish and usually those fish are tropical. Younger Garibaldi’s are a much darker orange with mild blue spots, and blue trimmed fins. Until they grow older into a young adult they keep there dark color and spots. Garibaldi’s are known to be very aggressive fish. They are very territorial and will fight for themselves. They enjoy warm water and swimming around coral reefs and kelp forests. They love to eat sea sponges a lot and many people think that’s why there color is so bright.

4 Garibaldi’s swim all over in the water and there not really ever in one spot for very long. They mainly swim and are around in kelp forests. Also they are coral fish hence there bright colors. They live in the pacific waters of southern California and Mexico. In early march when its spawning season for the Garibaldi the male will spend a month building a algae nest and then do a dance around it to attract a female fish.

5 Adult Garibaldi’s maintain a home territory. The male clears a sheltered nest site within his territory, and the female then deposits eggs within the nest. The male subsequently guards the nest until the eggs hatch after 19–21 days. During this time period, the male garibaldi aggressively tries to keep all other fish away from the very edible eggs. Like all male damsel fish, the male Garibaldi will boldly attack much larger swimming creatures, including humans, to the point of biting divers in order to try to drive them away from the area where the eggs are deposited.
