2. In the past 1. One of these texts is talking about the past and one about the present. Which is which? How did you know? 2. How do the verbs show if it’s in the past or the present? 3. Manger (to watch) Finir (to finish) Répondre (to answer) When you look up a verb in the dictionary, it will end in either ER, IR or RE. This is called the PAST PARTICIPLE. Look at the verbs below –how do they change?

5. Talking about the past Change the verb in brackets to the past participle. Look at your book for help!
