5 5 Procedural events are ones which have a procedural root cause.  Many of these events are related to Planned Maintenance.  The NRSC agreed to set up a team to review planned maintenance outages.  In June we sent data on these events from the NRSC companies.

21  1334 outage reports where malicious activity was indicated (188 in 2007, 188 in 2008, 83 in 2009, 138 in 2010, 222 in 2011, 207 in 2012, 222 in 2013 and 86 thru June 2014)  About 36% (79) mention vandalism in 2011, 35% of the reports (74) mentioned vandalism in 2012, 37% (83) in 2013 and 39 (45%) thru June 2014.  About 4% of the reports (9) mentioned gun or shots in 2011, 7% (15) in 2012, 9% (22) in 2013 and 16 (18%) thru June 2014  About 7% (17) mentioned cable theft in 2011, 8% (18) in 2012, 4% (9) in 2013 and 3 (2%) thru June 2014 21
