4 Water Use in the Bathroom  Many old toilets use 3-7 gallons of water per flush  Leaky toilets can waste 200 gallons of water each day  Faucets run at about 2 gallons of water per minute

5 Other Water Use in the Home  Traditional washing machines use 27-54 gallons of water per load  Washing dishes at the sink with the faucet on can use 20 gallons

6 Ways to Save Water  Install new toilets which use 75 percent less water.  Repair leaks.  Turn off the faucet while you brush your teeth and save 200 gallons of water per month.  Use a high-efficiency washing machine.  When washing dishes at the sink, fill the sink and turn off the faucet.  Do not rinse dishes before washing in a dishwasher.
