2 Creation vs. Evolution Biblical Creationism –The belief that the universe, including all living things, was created by God –Cannot be a part of science because it cannot be observed, measured, or recorded Evolutionism –The belief that the physical universe, including life, was not created but happened by chance –Cannot be a part of science because it cannot be observed, measured, or recorded

11 Creationist Views Progressive Creationism –Similar to the long day theory –Belief that the earth is billions of years old and that God created animals in batches over years

12 Creationist Views Theistic Evolution –This theory combines the Bible and biological evolution –Belief that God used evolution as a method of creating the diversity of life seen today
