PLEASE Watch the entire power point presentation If you choose to audition, take an audition form (on the chair at the front of the room) TOMORROW- Thursday, Sept. 10 th - stop by Mrs. Jacobson’s room to sign up to audition Go to the Broadwayjr.com site to get the Audition sides for the character you will be auditioning for- and PRACTICE (bring the fun!)

3. THINGS TO KNOW and FAQ This Info is also included in the audition form packet When are rehearsals?- Rehearsals will generally take place every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30-5pm. This is a general idea of rehearsals. If you have a conflict with these times, write that down on your audition form. In the beginning, we will not necessarily have FULL CAST rehearsals every day

4. More info We will have a couple of Saturday rehearsals, but again- if you have Saturday conflicts, do not let this keep you from auditioning. We try to be as flexible as possible with rehearsal conflicts. We cannot promise to meet everyone’s needs and still keep them in the show, but we will try Performances will be Thursday, December 10 7pm, Friday December 11 th 7pm, and 2 performances on Saturday Dec. 12 th 2pm and 7pm- if you have a conflict with any of these times it may not be possible for us to cast you in this show.

5. CREW and PARENTS If you are not interested in auditioning for the show, but want to be part of the crew- please fill out an audition form and put what crew area you would like in your “first choice” and “second choice” sections. WE WILL NEED PARENT HELP! There will be a parent meeting at the beginning of October where we will ask parents to volunteer for ticket sales, programs, publicity, communications, set, costume, and “wrangler” committees

14. CHOOSE YOUR AUDITION SIDE Choose the audition side for the character you wish to audition for. For example, if you want to audition for Buddy, select Buddy’s “breakdown” this will open a second window with links to the script and score, as well as provide you with background character info about Buddy. YOU NEED TO ONLY CLICK SCRIPT. THIS IS THE AUDITION SIDE

16. For the Music Yes- it is a musical- there will be singing, so you will need to sing as part of your audition. Please do not let this discourage you from auditioning! It is not as scary as it seems. Since the audition central does not have music up just yet, we will have ALL auditionees sing “My Country Tis of Thee” Feel free to add your own “spice” and characterization to this song as you sing it. Remember, we can work with the singing- we want to see characterization and energy

17. Signing Up for an Audition Starting Thursday, September 10 th there will be a sign up sheet outside of Mrs. Jacobson’s room. Please sign up here. Write your name legible so that we can read it. DO NOT SIGN UP if you do not intend to attend the auditions.

Waiting Room Expectations Meet in H104 STAY in H104 until your name is called Use this time to rehearse your audition scene, warm- up your voice DO NOT run around and engage in Horse play DO NOT touch anything that does not belong to you Conduct yourself with class, and overall good behavior Anyone who is found to be misbehaving or acting inappropriately will be asked to leave and will not be cast in the show

20. WHEN YOUR NAME IS CALLED Bring your audition form Quickly come to the choir room (across the hall) Give your audition form to the directors. BE PREPARED! Do not tell us you don’t know who you want to audition for…know in advance, if there is no audition scene for that character, be prepared to read “Fake Santa” under the “Ensemble” audition side. You may leave after your audition

CALL BACKS and CAST LIST IF we need to hold callbacks, we will post that list outside Mrs. Jacobson’s room (H104) by 8:30am Thursday, September 17 th If you are on the callback list you are asked to come audition again after school on Thursday, Sept. 17th. (3:30- 4:00) The Cast List will be posted at 3:30pm on Friday, September 18th.
