1 Meshing Objective information with Students At Risk

2 Getting ADM Objective data Once you have put all the information into your objective sheets, you will need to use ADM to gather the actual TAKS objective results for each student. This information can be added to your files on the computer, or you can print your files and add it by hand.

3 Opening ADM Double click on your “My computer” icon on your desktop. Double click on the T drive (T for “Testing”)

4 Find SVHS

5 Double click on the folder named “ADM TAKS”

6 Double click on the “TAKS 2007” folder

7 You need to set up your computer to run the data. Double click the ASE Run-Time Enabler folder For the FIRST TIME you run this on your computer only -

8 Find the Setup with the computer icon and double click First time only, cont.

9 Then click... Finish Next First time only, cont.

10 Click the Back button out of the Run-Time folder and back to SVHS. First time only, cont.

11 Then click … … on one of the copies of the SVHS April 2007 present teacher files

12 Now what? Type the number 1 and click OK.

13 Choose your level. This one.

14 Enter Find Mode Since you have your data organized by class periods, you will use the “Find Mode” to first find your class roster of students. Click on “Enter Find Mode”

15 Search for teacher and period You are going to click on the “present teacher” and “period” box for your subject.

16 What happens… When you click on these boxes, you will see a list appear…

17 Choose your name (if you are searching in TAKS data) or your teacher code (if you are searching in CBA/Benchmark data) and the appropriate class period from the dropdown lists.

18 Next – perform your find Now you can click on “Find” or “Perform Find”

19 What you get … I performed a find for Boren – 2 nd period and got 23 students. Now, how do I see it?

20 Click on “Viewing Options”

21 Viewing Options Notice how the content areas are color coded.

22 Choose the present teacher for your subject

23 This area shows the number correct by objective out of the number of items tested. Take these number for your Objective Color Code Sheet.

24 Overall percentage - this score can be used for your CBA test grade score.

25 This should get you started In the P Drive, you will also find a PowerPoint entitled “Using ADM to Access TAKS data” for further pointers on the features of ADM.
