2 Getting Started… 1. SIGN IN TO ARCGIS ONLINE 2. OPEN OUR MAP OF THE CARIBBEAN 3. CLICK ‘MODIFY MAP’

3 Make all layers visible. ‘Change Symbols’ for Caribbean Ports

4 Under OPTIONS: Change Symbols

5 Choose an appropriate symbol for PORTS.

6 ‘Change Symbols’ for Caribbean Countries

7 Choose Unique Symbols

8 To Show: Country_Name

9 ‘Create Labels’ for Caribbean Countries

10 ‘Create Labels’ for Caribbean Ports.

11 *make the font smaller for Caribbean Ports

12 Add MAP NOTES Layer

13 Name it ‘From Havana’

14 Find the 2 ports you are measuring. Zoom.

15 Click Edit

16 Draw a line between the two ports

17 Activate the ‘Measure’ tool. Measure the distance between the two.

18 Calculate the cruising time. Label the distance & time on the line.

19 Repeat these steps for the next PORT.
