Earned Value Management brings them to the point of realization that the things are not up to the mark and the way we are operating will not lead and help us in accomplishment of our desired results. And this makes them to think out of the box and to find the reasons of lagging behind. A Cause-and-effect tools and techniques helps them in finding out flowing road blockers: Lack of Vision, Commitment, and strategy Waiting for things to be happen instead to make things happen Readiness to Find and Eliminate Problems Reaching out for Customers Competence, Capability and Empowerment of People The purpose of this program is to investigate the reasons for the road blockers and to propose a solution and this solution will be authorized as a subsequent Program. VISION-180 ------------ A Road to Transform PMI/KPC From 0-180 degree, means a transformation from phases: Larva to – 6 months, starting from July 09 December 09 Caterpillar to – 12 months, starting from January 10 to December 10 Butterfly – 6 months, starting from January 11 and start flying like a Butterfly

3 Program Charter Program NameVISION-180 Charter Date June 7 th, 2009 Program SponsorPMI/KPC Program Director Asad Ullah Chaudhary Program Approach Key elements of the required approach are clear:  This Charter establishes the Program scope, schedule and budget baseline – any changes will be subject to formal change control.  The management of the program will follow the Rational Unified Process (RUP) Methodology of iterative development.  All critical documentation will go through a quality assurance process comprising Program-level assurance.  The resource model envisages a lean core team (including “super” Project Managers and assurance functions) – ‘contracting’ with internal and external providers for deliverables.  Program approval will be by phase – passage through each phase gate will require a detailed estimate for the subsequent phase, together with an estimate to complete the entire program.  Program work breakdown for the impending phase will require definition and assignment of deliverables for each resource  Engagement with Market Participants will comply with the requirements of the PMI/KPC VISION 180  Projects related to program will be subject to periodic critical examination and health- checks.
