1 Using EasyBib to Cite Sources Rachel Shankles Library Media Specialist Lakeside High School

2 Directions Go to www.easybib.comwww.easybib.com Click on the down arrow to see the source types.

3 Types of Sources

4 Citing a Book If you are citing a book, you can search by ISBN. Type in the IBSN number in the blank and click on AUTOCITE! You can also choose a book that is in print, on a website, or in an online database.

5 Citing the Book If it finds the book you were searching for, click on Select. If it didn’t, you can fill in the fields manually.

6 Citing the Book Next, click on Create Citation.

7 After Creating the Citation Click on the down arrow to add another citation to your list.

8 Citing a Web Site Copy & paste the url from your web site and click on Autocite.

9 Check for completion! Then click on Create Citation.

10 Your Bibliography Shows citation added. Options: Save as Word Doc Copy & Paste E-mail list Public URL Edit/Delete Citations It’s already in ABC order!

11 Another Common Source Type: Magazine Article Choose print, online or online database by clicking on the tab! Or try finding your article through Autocite

12 Don’t Forget Click on Create Citation each time you complete the information for a source If you subscribe (set up private paid acctount), you can keep lists in EasyBib.
