5 4. What are two major causes of this problem? 1. Lack of AIDS Education. > More than ¼ of women did not know an effective way to avoid the disease. ** 30% believed that a healthy looking person could not be a carrier.

7 5. Compare spending in the US with that of all of Africa.  The US spends $880 million fighting 40,000 new cases a year.  All of Africa spends $180 million fighting 4 million new cases every year.
