2 Introduction 1912 – Founded by Juliette Gordon Low and Robert Baden-Powell o Savannah, Georgia o Started with only 18 girls o Envisioned an organization that would bring girls out of their homes to serve communities o Wanted it to go world-wide o New York City- National Headquarters o 2013 – 3.2 million girls 2.3 million Girl Scouts 890,000 adults Juliette Gordon (center) and two Girl Scouts
