© International Vision Facilitation Council What Is A Club Vision? It is a living management tool that: Defines a shared commitment Provides long-term direction Creates a framework to establish goals and objectives Optimises use of resources

© International Vision Facilitation Council Why Is A Plan Needed? The tradition of annual cycles has not been effective It establishes a multi-year coordinated plan Need for greater Continuity, Consistency, and Consensus Improves the ability of ALL club members to voice the focus of the club

© International Vision Facilitation Council The Visioning Session - Outline Facilitated by a District Visioning Team (ideally 3 or 4 people) using established methodology Based on answers 5 questions: Who are we? Where are we? Where do we want to be? (Vision) How will we get there? (Action plan) How will we know when we have arrived?

© International Vision Facilitation Council WITH FACILITATORS Step 1 – All members, individually, define their club in terms of expectations in 3 to 5 years time in categories: What the Club stands for Membership Club Attributes Club Administration Avenues of Service Foundation Public image and Awareness Step 2 – Opinions of ALL members are collated Step 4 – ALL members vote on their preferences from the collated information Step 5 – All members vote again on the more “popular” expectations AFTER FACILTATION Step 6 – Post Visioning The Visioning Session - Outline
