To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships. To promote the adoption & the application of higher social, business, & professional standards. To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, & serviceable citizenship. To provide, through Kiwanis Clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, & to build better communities. To cooperate in creating & maintaining that sound public opinion & high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, & goodwill. 2 LAST WEEK Welcome Guests SPEAKER – Oct 6th UPCOMING EVENTS OUR SERVICE PROJECTS Thanks for print services from Don Lafond Watson Realty Corp. Beaches Women’s Partnership (BWP). Last week we heard from the Beaches Women’s Partnership (BWP). President Wendy Roberts, and Scott McGehee explained that BWP was formed to assist women who find their lives unraveling because of divorce, death, domestic violence, illness or other life-altering situations. They are a nonprofit organization that provides information and referral services to Beaches women and their families. If you are interested in contributing or volunteering, Call: 273-4795 or Email: info@womenspartnership.org Goal #4 : Kiwanis Communications- Communication will increase at all levels the District, Division and Club to the individual member. New Florida District Governor Donna Batelaan Goal #1 : SERVICE – All clubs and divisions will increase the number of and effectiveness of service projects. All projects will be evaluated. Goal #2 : Sponsored Programs and Organizations- All clubs in the Florida District will sponsor at least one Sponsored Program and actively participate in their activities, projects and events. Goal #3 : Education- Individual members will be exposed to increased education regarding Kiwanis operations, projects, programs, major emphasis initiatives, and benefits. Increased education will create more and stronger leaders. Goal #5 : Membership- New Club Building- The Florida District will build a minimum of 6 new clubs by September 2006. Goal #5(A ): Membership Growth- The Florida District will increase membership by 20% (2140) members by September 2006. Goal #5(B )- Membership Retention- The Florida District will reduce attrition by 15% ( 1650 members) by September 2006. Goal #5(C)- Membership- SOAP Programs- Every club in the Florida District will sponsor a SOAP program.
