01/14/13 Warm up (write this in your notebook) Answer: 1/2* 1/6* 1/52= 1/624!!!! Rule of multiplication= Probability of a series of things happening is equal to the product of each of the individual probabilities We have been doing this with punnett squares!

Welcome to Biology! 01/14/13 Homework/Announcements- None today—quiz block day (vocab and p squares) Daily Plan: 1. Go over punnett squares in groups 2. Go over vocab term homework Objectives: *Students will have fun with punnett squares and review vocab terms

Welcome to Biology! 01/15/13 Homework/Announcements- Study for block day quiz (vocab and p squares) Daily Plan: 1. Mitosis Warm Up 2. Homework Return 1.Inheritance Lab Table 3. Quiz Reminder 4. Meiosis Notes Objectives: *Students recognize that genetic variation is a result of sexual reproduction driven by meiosis through guided note taking.

01/16/13 Warm up (write this in your notebook) **Answer true or false for the following 3 statements. If they are false, write the word that makes them true. 1)True of false?—A gamete must contain one complete set of genes. 2)True or false?-A cell that contains both sets of homologous chromosomes is haploid. 3)True or false?-If an organisms haploid number is 78, its diploid number is 39.

Welcome to Biology! 01/16/13 Homework/Announcements- Study for Friday quiz (vocab and p squares) Questions 9-15 (Phases of Meiosis) for friday Daily Plan: 1. Warm it up 2. Homework—take it out and get it checked and review. 3. Quiz—moved to Friday 4. Fun with meiosis and fuzzy sticks Objectives: *Students recognize that genetic variation is a result of sexual reproduction driven by meiosis through a modeling activity.
