2  24 FE colleges and institutions in Wales  Process of mergers and amalgamations at present potentially cutting numbers to 16  FEIs cover all areas of Wales - Coleg Gwent in the south east, Yale College, Wrexham north east, Pembrokeshire College in the south west and Coleg Menai in the north west  250,000 learners in FEIs each year;  50,000 full time  Vocational, academic and community based adult education  Colleges Wales (fforwm) represents the colleges interests www. http://www.fforwm.ac.uk

4  OCN Keyword Internet Course level 1 & 2  Available face to face and electronically via Moodle  Small groups of 12  Arranged with tutors  Customised to reflect the course of study  Run for 8 years  Regularly evaluated and reviewed  Staff meet to revise and update materials and share experiences

5  Workshops  In-depth workshops covering a range of information literacy and study skills  Ad hoc sessions and programmes of 4-6 sessions  Delivered in cooperation with the tutor  Students see relevance  Imbedded into curriculum  Timely  Tailored to meet specific needs of the students  Adapted for the subject and level of course  Evaluated
