The Inside Scoop Instructions
2
The Inside Scoop The Inside Scoop is a tool to help WFF committee members get to know each other at the beginning of the new committee year. This tool will assist in: – Allowing people to get to know one another in a fun, simple way. – Associating names with faces to facilitate introductions among the team. – Getting your team to communicate and start building relationships for a stronger, more enjoyable volunteer experience. With so much of the volunteer work conducted via conference calls and electronic communication, the Inside Scoop is a great way to facilitate virtual introductions. It’s easy to feel isolated ― especially if you’re a new volunteer or member to WFF ― so the key is to get new volunteers engaged from the start.

The Inside Scoop Answer the questions on the next slide. Cut and paste a photo of your choice to replace the ostrich. The photo can be of you alone, with your family, a professional head shot... whatever you prefer. Send your slide to the designated person on your committee.

The Inside Scoop Name, title, company Where did you grow up? Family/Kids/Pets? What do you do for fun? If you were a Rock Star, who would you be and why? What one word would a co-worker use to describe you? One thing you can’t live without? What is your favorite quote? First job? What will make this a meaningful volunteer experience for you? What’s the 1 WFF competency you’re focused on this year?

The Inside Scoop The designated person on the committee will collect the slides and combine them into one file for introductions to be made on the next committee call (set up as a webinar). After introductions have been made, post your committee’s “Inside Scoop” deck on your WFF committee page for future reference.
