3 About CETA Tours CETA was founded by two foreign language teachers. They have been arranging tours abroad for students since 1974. They are based out of Menomonie, WI.

5 Tour Inclusions Round-trip air transportation from Minneapolis on scheduled carrier, including departure and security taxes Land transportation on air-conditioned coaster bus or motor coach, depending on the size of the group Multi-bedded accommodations in hotels Flight schedules and hotel lists will be available in April 2016.

6 Meal Inclusions All meals in Costa Rica are included The meals are eaten as a group either at the hotel or in a nearby restaurant.

7 Other Inclusions Entrance fees are included in the tour price for all sights listed in the itinerary.

8 Supervision on Tour There is a 1 to 8 teacher to student ratio. In addition, a bilingual naturalist guide will meet the group upon arrival in San José and accompany the group for the entire tour.

9 Items not Included in the Tour Price Beverages – juice is offered at most meals, but if students wish to have a soft drink, that will, in most cases, be at their own expense. Luggage Handling Passport Fees End of the tour tips to tour guide and bus driver. We recommend $3-$4 per person, per day for each of them. Travel insurance

10 Spending Money We recommend $50-$75 to cover beverages and some snacks. This does not include souvenirs. Most students take $100-$150 on a trip this length. There will be information about how to get currency while in Costa Rica at future meetings.

11 Payment Schedule $500 is due with the application on May 22, 2015. Second payment of $800 is due October 15, 2016. Third payment of $800 is due January 15, 2016. Balance is due March 15, 2016 A financial statement will be mailed or e-mailed directly to students and their parents upon receipt of application. Invoices will be mailed or e-mailed directly to students and their parents several weeks before each payment is due.

12 Cancellation Policy Cancellations made through December 15, 2015 incur a $125 penalty. Cancellations made between December 16, 2015 and March 15, 2016 incur a $500 penalty. Cancellations made from March 15, 2016 and up to 31 days prior to departure incur a $500 penalty plus any lost deposits for bus, airfare and accommodations. Cancellations made 30 days or less prior to departure will not receive a refund.

13 Tour Price Price is based on projected air fare and current departure taxes and is subject to modification. Price is based on the value of the dollar as of February 19, 2015 and is subject to modification. The trip price is based on a minimum number of paying participants: $2,849 with 20-29 paying travelers $2,799with 30 or more paying travelers

14 Extensions and Deviations Extensions and deviations may be available on a limited basis. Please fill out the deviation form on the back of your application and CETA will contact you about the price of your deviation before booking it for you. All deviations must be requested at the time of application.

15 Insurance Trip cancellation/interruption insurance is not included in the tour price. Information about purchasing insurance will be sent to participants with the first financial statement. Travelers who do not have medical insurance need to purchase it for the duration of the tour. CETA Tours highly recommends that travelers purchase trip cancellation/interruption insurance. CETA Tours can answer questions you may have about insurance and purchase it for you over the phone.

16 Scholarships CETA Tours offers five need-based scholarships in the amount of $500 each to students participating on a CETA Tour. Application packets are available upon request or on-line once a student is signed up for the tour. Application deadline is January 15, 2016. Winners will be notified in writing within 45 days of application deadline. Winners can expect the $500 credit to appear on their final invoice.

17 Future Meetings Once your group is formed, your teacher will hold more meetings to help you prepare for your tour. CETA Tours will send most of the tour preparation information to your teacher so attending these meetings will be very important.
