6. 6 New External trade in goods Regulations and International Recommendations New Regulations - entered in to force in 2009 and 2010 –To respond to the burden reduction initiatives –To enhance data quality requirements –To reflect changes in Customs systems within the Modernised Customs Code and find solutions for statistics in case of simplifications applied by Customs –To produce new statistics and better use of SAD data – trade data by business characteristics, currency, nature of transaction, etc. The EU Regulations follow to the maximum extent International Recommendations

9. 9 Legislation related to international trade in services statistics The requirements for ITSS are incorporated in EU BoP Regulation (EC) No 184/2005 Is output oriented, provides definitions, defines data elements and timeliness Follows principles of international recommendations The new implementing Regulation is passing the legislative process and should be adopted in 2011.
