3 Research project Aims: Review current policy, guidelines and practice on patient and public engagement (PPE) in SRHH Identify best practice examples Identify gaps in existing guidance Methods: Documentary analysis/literature review(n=59) Survey (n=72) In-depth interviews (n= 25) Report: www.londonsexualhealth.org/patient- public-engagement

8 Learning aims of today After attending this event, participants will be able to: Understand the importance of PPE in SRHH in this time of change Be aware of the barriers and challenges in this area and how to overcome them Feel more confident to approach their service/organisation and advocate PPE to them Appreciate the importance of having a PPE action plan and auditing progress Use appropriate tools to conduct PPE relevant to their service Know how to access our online resource and toolkit to provide support and resources for doing PPE in SRHH
