2. A NTHROPOLOGY What is it? While physical anthropology examines the bones and stones of our ancestors, cultural anthropology studies the values, behaviours, and attitudes of past and present societies passed from one generation to the next. Cultural anthropologists study individual cultures by immersing themselves within a culture (ethnology), by standing the use and structure of language, and by examining the remains of cultures past.

3. ETHNOLOGY Is the study of the origins and cultures of different races and peoples. Ethnologists are concerned with topics such as marriage customs, kinship patterns, political and economic systems, religion, art, music and technology.
