2 A NTHROPOLOGY What is it? While physical anthropology examines the bones and stones of our ancestors, cultural anthropology studies the values, behaviours, and attitudes of past and present societies passed from one generation to the next. Cultural anthropologists study individual cultures by immersing themselves within a culture (ethnology), by standing the use and structure of language, and by examining the remains of cultures past.

3 ETHNOLOGY Is the study of the origins and cultures of different races and peoples. Ethnologists are concerned with topics such as marriage customs, kinship patterns, political and economic systems, religion, art, music and technology. Participant observation (immersed in the observations) The careful watching of a group, in some cases living with its members and participating in their culture (text)

Your issue should relate to the school or your community specifically (Climate Change, for example, is a great topic which is most certainly an issue, however, it affects everybody in the world, not just your school or community)
