2 Historic Sites Basilica of Our Lady of Peace- Located in Yamoussoukro it is the largest church in the world. One major landmark is Mount Nimba. Comoe National Park is yet another landmark commonly associated with the Ivory Coast.

3 three equal vertical bands of orange (hoist side), white, and green; orange symbolizes the land (savannah) of the north and fertility, white stands for peace and unity, green represents the forests of the south and the hope for a bright future

4 Location and Climate Western Africa, bordering the North Atlantic Ocean, between Ghana and Liberia tropical along coast, semiarid in far north

5 Transportation Mostly driving small cars or taking public transportation with few airports.

6 Arts and Culture The two main cultural locations are both in Abidjan and they are National Library and Museum of Cote D'Ivoire.

7 Languages and Dialects French (official), 60 native dialects of which Dioula is the most widely spoken

8 Foods The people of the Ivory Coast eat a wide variety of foods. Since they grow a wide diversity of tropical fruits, their diet contains a large amount of fruit. They also eat many different kinds of meats ranging from monkey to dog.

9 Other Info. They have the 17 th highest population of AIDS infected citizens. The median age is around 20.
