9 Transportation Services Update: Zonal Parking Annual Permit Sales So Far Approximately 7,000 permits sold; similar to last 2 years Very conservative number of permits sold out of the gate Initially sold out: A1, A2, A3, B3, C & CR - waitlists formed B1, B2 and BR permits were still available Additional C, B3, A1, A2, and A3 made available to waitlists, then online Sold out C, B3, A2 again; BR last week 50 carpool permits sold out Collecting data, observing, learning

11 Transportation Services Update: Zonal Parking Observations from the field, first two months Previously lot usage data collected only 1-2/year Already, data has been collected 13 times this year (Tu/Wed 9-11 AM and 2-4 PM) Usage of lots A zones use ranges from 70 to 80%, trended up B zone use ranges from 70 to 75%, holding steady C zone use ranges from 82 to 88%, holding steady Largely positive feedback regarding availability

17 Transportation Services Update: Local Transit OSU Local Transit Investment Over $400,000 annual investment in local transit services University City Utility Fees Student Fees Parking Services Success with additional bus on C1R Route CTS overall ridership up 8.5% November 2014 from 2013

18 Transportation Services Update: Looking Ahead, Parking Permit Sales for 2015-16 First 2 weeks in May, existing permit holders may renew Next 2 weeks, existing permit holders may exchange zones, as supplies allow New annual permit sales continue in fall 2015 Option to add a hangtag for your decal Remainder of 2014-15 Listen to feedback from stakeholders Continue to count lot usage weekly, ridership daily Continue to sell parking permits as space allows Make adjustments to continue to improve the system Install additional safety features in garage Assess best practices for parking during breaks

19 Transportation Services: Looking Ahead Additional Plans Explore additional incentives/rewards for not driving alone Further develop Transportation Services, exploring the provision of new services at the motor pool Additional outreach and partnerships on and off campus Explore ways to provide better customer service Additional bike lockers, expanded bike share/loan Work with other departments to help visitors navigate campus transportation and parking
