Thesis In the Kneel Jump, a contestant kneels on their knees at a given line and must have their feet flat on the floor with the bottoms up.From this position, the contestant then jumps as far forward as they can, land on their feet, and maintain their balance. The contestant is allowed to swing their arms back and forth to gain momentum for the leap forward. The practicality of this event comes from the quickness and balance one has to have while being out on the moving ice during break up season.

3. In Perspective… Inuits are a native group in Alaska in the north. Inuits traveled across the Bering Strait to America. Inuits were nomadic people they used dogsleds and were hunter- gatherers. The hunted seal and fish as well as foraging for berries and roots. Their former lifestyle is fading into history. Teaching students Inuit games helps them to understand their Inuit culture.eaching This game assists in seal hunting for jumping from ice floe to ice floe In the Keel jump each player is allowed to three attempts. An attempt is considered successful if the player lands and both feet in the squat position with their arms forward If the player loses balance, then they are disqualified. 6. Conclusion Slide This game is prefered by seal hunters. This game requires a colossal feat of strength and stamina. The rich culture history behind the game is one of rich diversity. The original purpose of this game was to assist in jumping over ice flows. Currently the WEIO games bring people together in a vanishing culture.
