6 Why am I taking Psychology? It is required on my degree plan. Students said this class was fun. I needed 3 hours of credit. Everyone said Psychology was an easy course. Did you say “Psychology” … What is psychology? There was nothing else available for my schedule.

7 Course Description – PSYC 2301 Copyright 2003 Allyn & Bacon COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is the introductory course in the study of psychology. To successfully complete this course, you will learn about the elementary principles of human behavior. Specific topics will include a basic overview of areas such as development, maturation, motivation, memory, intelligence, learning, reasoning, brain anatomy, personality, emotions, psychological research, social psychology, psychological disorders, and perception. Credit: 3 semester hours. PREREQUISITE: Appropriate score on the TASP test or alternative test or completion of READ 0306 with a grade of “C’ or better.

IMPORTANT! Be sure to remember your login name and password once you set them. Write them down in a safe place in case you forget. I do not have access to them and there are grades that come from access to this site!

13 Student Website Information 3) Everything runs correctly in the Bullock Lab. The library and learning center can not run all of the parts of the software. Home Computer instructions: Install the plug ins on any home computer and browser you plan to use to access this website. Go to: www.mypsychlab.com and click Installing Plug-ins to access the MyPsychLab Installation Wizard for the latest versions and system requirements. These plug ins allow you to see animations, view video clips, complete online simulations, hear audio pronunciation of terms, complete the interactive learning activities, and take online tests.

An online form is also available on www.mypsychlab.com. 5) Browser Recommendations: Internet Explorer seems to work more smoothly than Netscape. America Online users should use IE as their browser window (connect to the Internet with AOL, then minimize the AOL browser window and open Internet Explorer or Netscape instead).
