2 Introduction ASA reinstated to international competition – 1992 Have had team representation at all World Championships, Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games & AAG since 1992 Won medals at all international competitions since 1992,except in 2005. –Black athlete medallists, JOSIA THUGWANE HEZEKIEL SEPENG MBULAENI MULAUDZI KHOTSO MOKOENA GERALDINE PILLAY Core Business –Team preparation for international competition –Medals for South Africa

3 ASA Properties Road Running –Mass participation, reaching over 200,000 athletes. –100,000 athletes registered with clubs, the other 100,000 are temporary licensed athletes –1012 clubs, predominately road running. –820 road races held across the country annually
