3 The Exodus  Judeo-Christian tradition has the Exodus take place in about 1240 BC  Moses leads the Hebrews out of slavery in Egypt to freedom  From the Jewish traditions of Passover, the Exodus takes place on Nisan 14 or Nisan 15 (March or April)
