15. The University of the West Indies must play a leading role in the Caribbean Integration Process – intellectually, spiritually, and in practical ways. Proposal: Formal Programme for an exchange of students between Campus countries and from UWI-12 countries, for periods of two weeks to one academic year. Caribbean Integration Programme

16. Problem: While there has been remarkable growth of student numbers on the three main campuses, they are increasingly confined to campuses in their own territories Caribbean Integration Programme

19. Project Goal: Secure sustainable funding to assist students in off-setting incremental costs associated with study in another Caribbean country Caribbean Integration Programme

Approach: Formation of Committee (administration, student services, student representatives) to plan and implement programme (Guild of Students leadership endorsement obtained and students will play integral role in formulating and marketing the programme Specific programmes to be formulated on each Campus to promote full awareness of the social, cultural economic and topographic features of the country being visited as well as programmes to enhance knowledge about the Caribbean as a whole Caribbean Integration Programme
