2 To advocate the concept of Distributed Generation + Renewables integration, contributing to its advance in Europe by: PRIMARY OBJECTIVE Making stakeholders aware of the increasing efficiency and sustainability of RES+ DG new technologies when compared with conventional central generation stations Removing technical, business practice, regulatory, and cost related interconnection barriers to the grids New electricity grids acceptance of intermittent RES+DG without risk in quality and safety 2 Pedro Mª MARTINEZ - IBERDROLA- BETA SESSION 4b :Integration of RES+DG Barcelona 12-15 May 2003

3 The consortium is constituted by: A “Core Group“ of 14 Principal partners from 10 European Countries and a “Participants Group” of 23 members.
