3  Retina: the light-sensitive membrane covering the back wall of the eyeball; it is continuous with the optic nerve  Sight: Light enters the eye and forms images. A part of your eye changes the images into signals that tell your brain what you are seeing  Pupil: The dark hole in the center of your eye. It changes size to control the amount of light that the lens focuses on the retina. In enlarges in weak light to let more light in, and shrinks in bright light. It helps you to see more easily.  Iris: a flat, colored, ring-shaped membrane behind the cornea of the eye, with an adjustable circular opening (pupil) in the center  Lens: A transparent, biconvex body of the eye between the iris and the vitreous humor that focuses light rays entering through the pupil to form an image on the retina.  Optic Nerve: the second cranial nerve, which provides a sensory pathway from the retina to the brain  Cornea: the transparent layer forming the front of the eye.  Sciera: the white outer layer of the eyeball. At the front of the eye it is continuous with the cornea.
