2 Food Pyramid  What do you like to eat?  Do you like to make healthy choices that give you energy?  Or, do you make poor choices because they taste good?

3 Statistics About Obesity BBBBetween 34 and 38 percent of Alabama children from ages 10 to 17 are in the overweight or obese category. 333340,000 Alabama children weigh too much and 172,000 are obese. OOOOverweight children have a 70% chance of becoming obese adults.

4 Healthy Sandwiches  Veggie Cream Cheese  Cucumbers  Wheat Bread

5  Vegetables  Meat  Grains  Fruits  Dairy Tuna salad and a sliced tomato

6 Almond butter with slivered almonds and dried cranberries  Nuts  Grains  Fruit  Protein

14 Healthy Snack  Place deli turkey, low-fat mozzarella, and lettuce on a whole wheat tortilla. Roll tightly, seal, and refrigerate. Cut into 1-inch slices.

15 Healthy Snack  Sweet Smoothie  Blend a banana with one cup nonfat milk and two tablespoons Ovaltine.  You can add variety by mixing in other fruits, yogurt, and peanut butter

16 Wherever you are at school, home, or work, eat HEALTHY! HEALTHY!
