18 MANAGING WEIGHT To keep yourself at a healthy weight you need to balance calories in to calories out.

19 MANAGING WEIGHT Females between the ages of 13 and 18 need approximately 1,800 to 2,400 calories each day depending on how active they are.

20 MANAGING WEIGHT Males between the ages of 13 and 18 need approximately 2,200 to 3,200 calories each day depending on how active they are.

21 MANAGING WEIGHT A person who needs to lose weight should do so gradually through proper eating and exercising.

22 MANAGING YOUR WEIGHT Do not take short cuts using fad diets, diet pills, or extreme workout programs.

23 MANAGING YOUR WEIGHT A person who needs to gain weight should carefully analyze how they can gradually add calories and nutrients. If you need to adjust your weight, talk to your health care provider.
