Thesis My thesis statement; From the fuel, engine, and the tires; the car has turned form a slow, inefficient hunk of wood, into a lean, mean, street machine.

Driving Question How has that automobile changed over the years?

Paper I did my paper on the History of the Automobile. In the paper I talked about different features of the automobile that have changed. While writing my paper I learn a lot of information about how the automobile works and how it evolved.

Tires The first wheel came around about 3500 B.C. and was created by the Mesopotamian people. The first wheels to be used for transportation came about 3200 B.C. The first tires used on automobiles where made of wood and had small strip of rubber.

Fuel The first vehicle to move under its own power used a steam engine to do so and moved at a speed of 2.5 mph. The first crude oil electric carriage was made by Scottish inventor Robert Anderson. The first successful electric car in the United States was built by William Morrison in 1891. Electric did not stay around to long because Henry Ford could mass produce gas vehicles.

Rise of the Gas Engine In 1862 Alphonse Bear de Rochas figured out how to compress gas as the same cylinder which the gas was being burnt. With Henry’s improvement of the assembly line he moved built speed 1 hour and 33 minutes Because of the fast built time that automobile was made affordable for the normal person

Safety Features At first safety futures were made by the drivers to make there driving experience more comfortable. After years of criticism from Journalist the car industry started to make their own safety features.

Henry Ford Henry Ford was known for improving the assembly line. He also created the Ford Model T.

Success This project gave me an excuse to go a visit some nice car shows. I learned a lot about the automobile that the everyday person wouldn’t know. Another success that I have is that I finish my project on time.

Challenges Staying on track Finding ideas for my product When I finally started my product it was hard for me to load the pictures on the website without my computer freezing up.
