16 © Crown copyright 2011, Department for Education. This resource has been created through the LinkedUp Award Scheme. I can define a noun. I can define an adjective. I can recognise that every noun in French is either masculine or feminine. I can identify the gender of a noun by looking at the word that comes before it in the dictionary (le/la/un/une). I can write creatively using adjectives correctly. I can recognise that adjectives change in French depending on what they are describing and that this is different to English. I can classify nouns by identifying their gender and grouping them. I can compare the way different adjectives change when describing masculine and feminine nouns. I can apply my understanding of gender to correctly put feminine adjectives with feminine nouns. Image: http:// hooked-on-thinking.com / With thanks to Chris Harte
