3. Speeches Martin’s “I Have a Dream “ speech was his most famous speech ever. He gave the speech in 1963 at Washington, D.C. He said, “I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character”.

4. New Laws Martin changed the laws. He changed the white only signs. The black people can sit where they want. Now they can sit in the front of the bus.

5. M.L.K Jr’s Death James Earl Ray shot Martin in Memphis, Tennessee on April 4, 1968. An hour later he died. James Earl Ray was in the Ku Klux Klan and someone in that club said whoever kills Martin first wins $30,000.
