Actual use of NIMAS in accessible media production is greater than the number of unique downloads.

17 Louis Plus Unified Search Allows single search of NIMAC and Louis. Utilizes Google Search Appliance and web service. Extensible to other repositories. Went live in July of 2011! Allows AU to go from Louis Plus search results directly to the NIMAC record for download.

25 2011 File Quality Issues Percentage of files downloaded in 2011 reported to have problems:.4% (four-tenths of one percent) Total number of problem reports in 2011: 25 Problems determined to be issues with the AT device and not the file set: 2 Best practices issues: 2 (Both were files in which text included in an image was not also transcribed in the XML. The publishers were alerted and voluntarily corrected and resubmitted the files.)

28 2011 File Quality Issues During a recent visit to the Miami Accessible Media Project in Indiana, staff mentioned these NIMAS file issues: Ordered lists incorrectly coded (Most common issueneed print book to discern) Table of Contents coding (Next most common issue) Text embedded in an image not also included in XML file Pagination tags incorrectly nested inside a list Improper use of level headings (need print book to discern) Incorrect image referenced in the XML (need print book to discern) Sidebar placed incorrectly in the XML (need print book to discern) Misspellings in XML
