5 BIT / IKT, 2001 Background and objectives Enormous potential of HLT research and user base in Europe BUT: Low return on investment for HLT RTD funding in Europe mainly due to lack of knowledge and awareness Euromap will try to boost market take-up by Encouraging closer co-operation between players Building communities, at national and European level Accelerating HLT technology transfer Enabling the preparation of good HLT project proposals Providing relevant information about existing projects
